Ash becomes the red carpet pro

Date:

When Aishwarya Rai Bachchan stepped on the Cannes red carpet on Thursday, she made every heart skip a beat with her breathtaking avatar.

In a yet another winning appearance, the former Miss World looked stunning and elegant at amfAR gala event on May 21.

The actress was in another Elie Saab gown, which she carried with elan. Aishwarya completed her romantic look with a stunning diamond necklace and a silver clutch. The lavender colour actual gown has a belt and the train, which was missing in Aishwarya’s ensemble, but she certainly made the heads turn with her serene look on the red carpet.

Keeping up with the tradition, Aishwarya attended the amfAR (American Foundation for AIDS research) event this year as well, but Abhishek Bachchan was seen missing from the event.

Jr. Bachchan attended amfAR gala last year with his wife, but gave it a miss this year due to prior work commitments.

“Unfortunately due to work commitments I can’t attend the AMFAR gala today. But the better half is there to represent,” Abhishek Bachchan tweeted.

Meanwhile, the former Miss World has been attending the prestigious film festival and “Cinema Against AIDS” event at Cannes since 2002. This is her 14th year at the red Carpet.

Ash also enthralled everyone with the first look of her upcoming film ‘Jazbaa’, which was released at the venue. Director Sanjay Gupta was also present when the first look of the film was unveiled.

Social Butterflies

The 41-year-old Bollywood actress was joined by The Slap‘s Melissa George, Silver Linings Playbook‘s Chris Tucker, The Lobster‘s John C. Reilly, and classical musician Andrea Bocelli.
