Rahul thrashes BJP manifesto; calls it ‘the voice of an isolated man’

Date:

Even after the Congress condemned the BJP Manifesto on Monday, April 8 and called it a bag of lies, party president Rahul Gandhi thrashed it further in a tweet that he posted on Tuesday, April 9, morning.

He called it ‘short sighted and arrogant’ and spared no words to bring out the difference in approach, the way he views it.

“The Congress manifesto was created through discussion. The voice of over a million Indian people it is wise and powerful. The BJP Manifesto was created in a closed room. The voice of an isolated man, it is short sighted and arrogant,” he tweeted.

Both the rival parties have now released their national manifestos and spared no time to bring out the gaps in either one.
The first round of the seven-phase Lok Sabha polls begins on April 11.
While BJP came forward with a ‘nationalist’ manifesto, terming it as a vision document with the main focus on farmers, infrastructure and health, Congress tried to focus on NYAY plan, the minimum guaranteed income scheme and youth.

Terming it the ‘Sankalpit Bharat, Sashakt Bharat’, it was released almost a week after Congress released its manifesto. Both the parties have promised a series of new initiatives and welfare schemes.
The counting of votes is scheduled on May 23 2019.
Earlier in the day, senior Congress leaders also held a press conference and called the BJP manifesto ‘a bunch of lies’ and said it would have been better if they had ‘issued an apology’.
