A minister from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet has sparked a new controversy.
Union Culture Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma’s security personnel beat up a housing society’s guard in Ghaziabad on Friday.
The VVIP security guard thrashed guard at a housing society for allegedly making the minister wait at the gate.
The whole incident was captured on the CCTV camera located on the gate. The CCTV footage shows that the minister did not stop his security personnel from slapping the guards as his convoy passed out.
According to a report, the guard who was beaten up said, “It took hardly two minutes for us to open the gate, still Minister’s security thrashed and abused them.”
Meanwhile, the minister has quoted saying in a statement ,
“I think people want to politicise the issue. They are making issue out of nothing. Police can take action. I was not present there when scuffle broke out.”
He added, “It is true that I have gone there at Ashina Society to meet sister. They made me wait for some time, later they given me permission to enter. In my absence my private gaurds indulged in the scuffle. When I came back I apologised immediately.”
