Mumbai: India beat England by an innings and 36 runs on the fifth and final day of the fourth cricket Test to take an unassailable 3-0 lead in the five-Test series on Monday.

Brief Score: England 1st innings: 400

India 1st innings: 631

England 2nd innings: 195 all out in 55.3 overs (Joe Root 77; R Ashwin 6/55).
