Mini’s Clubman all set to launch in India on December 15

BMW’s Mini is all set to launch its fifth car in India, Clubman, on December 15. Slightly bigger than the Countryman, it will be the largest Mini on sale in the country.

The British automaker confirmed the Clubman’s entry in India during Auto Expo 2016 which will the second new model that was launched this year.

Alike other Mini cars, Clubman will have a large, single-frame grille, oval headlamps and clamshell bonnet. The tailgate, however, will be unlike any seen on a conventional hatchback or estate, it will have barn-style doors.

The dash on the Clubman will be similar to the ones on the latest Minis, with a large centrally mounted infotainment system.

In the international market, the Clubman is offered with a choice of a 1.5-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre petrol or diesel engine, mated to manual or automatic gearboxes. The Indian versions will also have the same engines, however the manual gearbox may not be available.
