Deepika Padukone slammed the activists for assaulting Sanjay Leela Bhansali

A group of activists forced stopped the shooting of  Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the main lead on Friday by vandalising the set at Jaigarh Fort, of Jaipur and also assaulted the director.

Shocked by the incident the Bollywood fraternity had flooded the social media by condemning the anti-social activity happened during the shoot in Rajasthan. Celebrities including Sonam Kapoor, music composer Vishal Dadlani, southern star Arvind Swami and Ashok Pandit have condemned the attack on filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali by activists of a Rajput community group during the shooting of his upcoming movie “Padmavati“.

Deepika Padukone came out with her reactions on Saturday as she took to Twitter and the actor quoted that she is shocked by the incident;

Ranveer Singh is essaying the role of Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi sultan, who falls in love with Padmavati. The film is scheduled to release in November this year.
