Sonu Nigam outrage against ‘forced religiousness’ as he wakes up to morning Azaan

Singer Sonu Nigam sparked up a controversy on Monday morning when he was apparently woken up by the sound of Azaan from a local mosque, which by the way he hated it so much that he called it ‘gundagardi’.

Nigam’s main concern was:

“I’m not a Muslim and I have to be woken up by the Azaan in the morning.”

“When will this forced religiousness end in India,” the singer tweeted.

And he continued saying:

He further said that he doesn’t ‘believe’ that temples and gurudwaras should wake up people with loud noises either.
