Refreshed Maruti Dezire 2017 launches in India

One of the most awaited cars of 2017, Maruti Dezire latest version has marked it’s entry in India. The new version looks completely new cosmetically with massive changes from its the predecessor. The new Dezire has completely ditched the tag of Swift from its name.

The Maruti Dezire has been priced adequately in the segment with starting price of Rupees 5.45 lakhs for the petrol and 6.40 lakhs for the diesel variant ex-showroom price New Delhi. The car’s exterior looks completely refreshed with the overall change in design adding a Trapezoidal chrome grille with a better submerging A-pillar. The car now looks much like a sedan than the older one.

The car’s height and dimensions have also been increased and the car is 20 mm wider than the older one. The Dezire is now lighter wich is based on all new HEARTECT platform. The new Dezire is now equipped with LED headlights and DRLS which makes it look more executive.

The car’s interior is totally revamped with new steering wheel and center console which spots newly shaped AC vents. The infotainment system supports both Android and Apple CarPlay. ABS and EBD are standard in all the variants, which is a good news from Maruti.

Under the hood, Maruti Dezire petrol variants have 1.2 K-series petrol engine which generates of  82 bhp at 6000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4200 rpm. The diesel versions have 1.3-litre DDiS diesel, on the other hand, makes 74 bhp at 4000 rpm and 190 Nm of peak torque at 2000 rpm.
