Electric motorcycles are mostly a turn off for the motorcycle enthusiasts due to its low range. The electric motorcycles need longer time to charge and to increase the speed of charging, it costs immensely to the manufacturers. Lightning Motorcycles already innovated the e-superbike segment with the fastest electric motorcycle LS-218, they now aim to improve the range of electric sports bike

Lightning Motorcycles already innovated the e-superbike segment with the fastest electric motorcycle. They now aim to improve the range of electric sports bike which aims to cover the distance from San Fransisco to Los Angeles which is a stretch of 700 Kms in a single charge.

Lightning CEO Richard Hatfield said, “Company aims to cover San Francisco to Los Angeles on a single charge”.

“We see ourselves as following in the footsteps of Tesla and accomplishing the San Francisco-to-Los Angeles run on a single charge would show that range anxiety is no longer an issue.” he added.

The current longest range of an electric motorbike is 550 Kms. The challenge took by the Lightning Motorcycles will be possible after their collaborative research and development with battery innovation centers.
