Sir Roger Moore, one of the most versatile actors who played the character of James Bond, dies of cancer after a brief battle for life at the age of 89. The veteran actor died on Tuesday in Switzerland, and his private funeral will be held in Monaco as he wished.

Sir Roger Moore acted in seven James Bond movies including one of his most famous bond movie ‘The Octupussy’ which was partly shot in India with Kabir Bedi as an antogonist. The 007 star potrayed his character in a much suave and humorous manner rather than conventional James Bonds. He was also known for his humanitarian works for which he was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador of the UNICEF in 1991.
