3 terrorists suspected to be trapped as encounter underway in Kupwara

J&K, Kupwara: An encounter between the security forces and three terrorists is underway in the Kupwara region of Jammu and Kashmir, and militants are trapped in a house the region as per the report.

The security forces acted on information about terrorists from the Lashkar group hiding in the region. As the area was cordoned off as soon as the encounter started.

As per information, the forces were conducting house-to-house search operations in the area and they were greeted by sudden gunfire from one of the house, where the terrorists are suspected to be holed up.

No causalities have been reported so far, but heavy gunfire has been recorded. Attacks in the Valley are fast becoming a daily affair, with an encounter recorded almost every day.
