Chennai gets its Smart Restaurant

Chennai: An automated food machine is put up at Chennai’s Koyambedu bus stand. With this, one can easily get food just by rolling fingers on the screen and swiping ATM card. The setup is known as Atchayam Foodbox. Another Foodbox system is installed at DLF IT Park.

According to Atchayam Foodbox makers it is the first of its kind  in food and retail industry and it is not considered as a vending machine. The CEO of Atchayam Foodbox calls it an “intelligent restaurant”.

The packed food is brought and kept in climate-controlled condition. According to a customer’s wish the food is heated and served within 90 seconds on conveyor.
