New Delhi: Delhi Metro’s Yellow line (Jahangirpuri – Huda City Centre) will be reportedly extended up to Manesar. Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the extension will be ready in another six months, a senior official of the Haryana government said. Once the DPR is ready, the Haryana government will approach the Centre for project approval, the official said.
He said the stretch will be over 30 km long. It will run alongside the northern and the southern peripheral roads, which are around 16 and 10 km long, respectively.
According to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) officials, the Haryana government had asked them about a year ago to prepare the DPR for the extension. The request was retracted later without any official explanation.
“We never heard anything on the subject after that. They never explained why they didn’t want us to take forward the work on the line,†a DMRC official said.Â
