Deputy Mayor of Bengaluru passes away

Ramila Umashankar, the Deputy Mayor of Bengaluru passed away on Friday morning due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 44.

Besides being the leader of Janata Dal, she was also a corporator from Kaveripura in Karnataka.

On the demise, the Chief Minister of Karnataka, H.D. Kumaraswamy expressed his grief and shock and said that he remembers her as a dedicated social worker and committed party worker.
