Amreli district is about 100km from the home to the largest number of Asiatic lions in the world, Gir National Park. This is the second incident in two months. Earlier, a herd of 11 lions was found crossing the busy highway in Gujarat. The rampant construction and development in Gujarat are causing Lions to come out on public spaces. Although no dangerous incidents have been reported related to lions still there is an immense threat to the public with such occurrences.
