New Year’s Eve: Police issue traffic advisory

Gurgaon: The Mehrauli Gurgaon Road stretch between hotel Bristol to IFFCO Chowk will be a No Drive zone from 5 pm to 2 am on New Year’s Eve.

For vehicles coming from Gurgaon parking arrangement will be made at the Leisure Valley Ground Parking. Vehicles coming from the other side, can be parked near the metro station at MG Road.

For Delhi, From 7:00 pm on the New Year’s Eve, traffic restrictions shall be imposed in the vicinity of Connaught Place in the heart of the national capital.

As per the advisory, no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards CP beyond Mandi House, Bengali Market, north foot of Ranjit Singh flyover, the DDU Marg — Minto Road crossing.

No entry and exit will be allowed at Rajiv Chowk metro station after 9 PM in view of security restrictions due to New Year celebrations, Delhi Metro officials said.

“As advised by Delhi police, entry/exit at Rajiv Chowk station won’t be available after 9 PM today,” a DMRC spokesperson said.

However, interchange facility for Line-2 (HUDA City Centre – Jahangirpuri) and Line-3/4 (Dwarka Sec-21 –Noida City Centre/Vaishali) will be available as per usual timings.
