Swami Aseemanand seeks court’s permission to go out of Hyderabad

Mecca Masjid blast accused Swami Aseemanand today appeared before the Special Court seeking permission to go out of Hyderabad as he is on conditional bail.

The matter will be next heard on April 21.

Earlier this month, a Hyderabad court released Aseemanand from the Chanchalguda Central Jail and also granted conditional bail to him, paving way for his release from jail after seven years.

Aseemanand has been asked to surrender his passport and not leave Hyderabad without permission from the court.

In August 2014, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had granted bail to Aseemanand in the 2007 Samjhauta train blast and on he was granted bail by a Jaipur court in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case on March 8 this year.

As many as nine people were killed and several others injured when an IED exploded inside the Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad on May 18, 2007.
