Weather conditions across India are expected to remain varied on Thursday, with parts of the southern peninsula likely to receive heavy rainfall, while northern states experience mostly dry conditions.
The remnants of Severe Cyclonic Storm Murasu continue to influence weather activity across southern India, bringing rain, thunderstorms and gusty winds to several areas.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated heavy rainfall over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and south interior Karnataka.
Parts of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh may receive isolated to scattered rainfall, while Odisha is likely to experience thunderstorms and lightning.
The remnants of Cyclone Murasu have weakened into a low-pressure area over eastern Telangana and adjoining coastal Andhra Pradesh.
Although the system is expected to weaken further, moisture from it may keep parts of the southern peninsula wet.
Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR is likely to remain largely dry, with mainly clear skies and shallow fog or mist during the morning.
The IMD has forecast minimum temperatures of 15-17°C and maximum temperatures of 27-29°C, with no weather warning in place.
Temperatures in Delhi may drop further next week, bringing colder mornings and fog. Air pollution also remains a concern, with Delhi recording an AQI of 463 on November 5.
Noida registered 456, while Greater Noida recorded 426. Gurugram also continued to report severe air quality.
