Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh began his AURA India Tour 2026 with a grand opening concert at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Friday, entertaining thousands of fans with an evening of music, entertainment and Punjabi pride.
As Diljit stepped onto the stage, he was greeted by loud cheers from the packed stadium. He opened the concert with ‘Morni’, setting the tone for an energetic performance featuring several of his biggest hits and fan favourites.
The singer performed popular tracks including ‘G.O.A.T.’, ‘Ikk Kudi’, ‘Lalkara’, ‘Ishq Di Baajiyaan’, ‘Naina’, ‘Kinni Kinni’, ‘Case’, ‘Panjtaara’, ‘Hass Hass’ and ‘Water’. One of the evening’s most anticipated moments came when he performed ‘Saanson Ki Mala’, receiving an enthusiastic response from the audience.
The concert also featured special interactions with fans. Diljit invited several audience members onto the stage, giving them an opportunity to dance and sing alongside him.
During the performance, he thanked the Delhi Police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for helping ensure the smooth organisation and management of the concert.
In an emotional moment, Diljit invited a female police officer onto the stage and described her as a mother figure, saying her presence reminded him of his own mother.
“A big salute to them. None of this would have been possible without you. Thank you so much. I can see my mother in you. When you were standing there, I thought I saw my mother. I feel like my mother is standing here with me,” he told the officer.
The evening concluded with a specially curated drone show illuminating the Delhi skyline with the message, ‘Panjabi Aa Gaye Oye!’
Naman Pugalia, Chief Business Officer – Live Events at BookMyShow, said the sold-out Delhi concert had set the benchmark for the cities that would follow.
Co-produced and promoted by BookMyShow Live, along with Live Nation, the tour will take Diljit Dosanjh to audiences across India following the successful international run of Aura.
