The film also registered several market-specific records. In the UK, it grossed GBP 750,000, surpassing the previous single-day record by around 15 per cent. In the US, it recorded the biggest single day for a Bollywood release, overtaking Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Canada and Australia recorded the second-biggest single-day collections for an Indian film, behind Dhurandhar. The Middle East also witnessed a strong recovery on Saturday.
In Southeast Asia, Thailand is heading towards a USD 400,000 opening weekend, while Vietnam is expected to cross USD 100,000.
The film is scheduled to release in Indonesia next week, with smaller European markets also contributing to its overseas performance.
