Anyone can tell you to head over to Flurys or Peter Cat when you are in Kolkata, Meanwhile, let’s take you to the lanes very popular with those who know Kolkata, which offer some of the yummiest food you shouldn’t miss out if you are in this city.

Tiretta Bazar

It is located near Lalbazar Police Station beside Poddar Court, and the Central metro station is nearby as well. You can get the most delicious Chinese breakfasts at this place, but only if you get there before 8am because the food gets over by then. The pork, chicken, shrimp, and fish soups, dumplings, and buns are worth waking up super early in the morning and giving this place a visit.

Santa’s Fantasea

One outlet is located in Golpark and the other one in Salt Lake. This place may have a rather odd name, but if you want to try out good tribal cuisine without burning a giant hole in your pocket, then you must visit this place. They also have delicious seafood options.

Solid Gulp

It is located near the Karunamoyee Bus Stop, Sector 2, Salt Lake. They have a reputation for making their food fresh, and people often queue up early to get their hands on the specially tasty MOMOs.

Anadi’s cabin

This cabin is located in the New Market area, one of the busiest shopping hubs in the city. This can be counted as one of the oldest eateries in Kolkata and this little cabin offers mouthwatering cutlets and fries at unbelievably low prices.

Though located in College Street, it can be a little tricky to find. If you are going for the first time, ask the shopkeepers around you which way Paramount is, and they’ll all direct you to it. It is one of the oldest beverage shops in the city, Paramount serves the most delicious sherbets and syrups. Far removed from the cafe culture, the setting and the ambience of the place still reeks of an old world culture.
