12-foot python rescued in Agra

Agra, Aug 29 (PTI) A 12-foot-long python, weighing 21.5kgs, was today rescued by a team of NGO Wildlife SOS while itwas crossing the National Highway here. The reptile is under observation and will be freed intoits natural habitat, Baiju of Wildlife SOS said. In the last two months, a large number of reptiles hasentered into urban clusters due to hectic constructionactivities along the Yamuna river banks. The Keitham reserve forest, from where the python appearsto have escaped, is known to be a habitat for birds andreptiles. PTI CORR MNG SMNMNG
