New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday inducted the Indian Air Force’s first C-295 MW transport aircraft during the inauguration of the “Bharat Drone Shakti-2023” exhibition at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad.
Top military officials including Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, attended the induction event. It’s worth highlighting that the Indian Air Force is collaborating with the Drone Federation of India to co-host the Bharat Drone Shakti 2023 event, acknowledging the promising prospects of indigenous drone innovation and creation.
The “Bharat Drone Shakti-2023” event is scheduled for September 25 and 26, and it will showcase live aerial presentations. The utilization of drones in India is on the rise, encompassing applications in both military and civilian domains.
During these demonstrations, a wide spectrum of drone applications will be showcased, encompassing areas such as survey drones, agricultural drones, firefighting drones, tactical surveillance drones, heavy-duty logistics drones, loitering munition systems, drone swarms, and counter-drone solutions, as stated in the announcement. Moreover, the event will see the enthusiastic involvement of over 75 drone startups and corporate entities.
