CTTC-Bhubaneswar signs agreement with ISRO Bhubaneswar, Aug 24 (PTI) Central Tool Room and TrainingCentre (CTTC), Bhubaneswar, has signed an agreement with ISROfor technology transfer and a contract for supply ofspacecraft component. Under the agreement, Indian Space Research Organisationwould transfer three types of temperature-sensor technology toCTTC to further strengthen its manufacturing capability,Managing Director of CTTC-Bhubaneswar, S Maity said in astatement today. As per the contract, the CTTC would supply spacecraftcomponent for next five years for a total value of Rs 32 crorerpt 32 crore, he said. Describing as "historic" the tie-up inked on Monday,Maity said the work contract would be executed throughCTTC-MSME consortium and would help in developing themanufacturing base of Odisha. "CTTC-Bhubaneswar is geared up to develop itsmanufacturing capability to be a reliable and contributingpartner to the National Aerospace missions and marching aheadon the path of Make in India Mission," he said. The CTTC has been supplying several critical componentsused in satellites and launch vehicles developed by ISRO underthe national space mission of the country. The achievement of CTTC by supplying critical componentsto Success of MARS mission (MOM) drew appreciation andfelicitations from the prime minister’s office and office fromthe Minister of MSME. Having supplied critical hardware items for Geo-Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, Chandrayaan 1, the CTTCnow plans to establish specific facilities to supply some morecritical Assemblies and Sub-assemblies to ISRO for variousspace mission programmes under its expansion and capacitybuilding programmes, said the CTTC MD. Senior officers from ISRO, CTTC, the state government,CTTC-Aerospace Consortium members and representatives fromindustries and Industry Associations were present when thepact was signed.
