Cyient launches 54 digital centres in Govt schools in

Telangana Hyderabad, Aug 29 (PTI) IT firm Cyient today launched 54Cyient Digital Centres (CDC) across Serilingampally MandalGovernment Schools in Ranga Reddy district of Telangana as apart of the CSR initiative on completing 25 years. The CDCs have three functionalities – computerlaboratory, digital library and National Digital LiteracyMission Centres, a company release said. The aim of the CDCs is to provide digital educationalresources to community members and underprivileged students,it said. The centres will touch the lives of more than 20,000underprivileged children, the company claimed. "Additionally, each centre is expected to train 1000community members from the surrounding areas to operate acomputer or a digital access device and use the internet.50,000-pus citizens from the age of 16 to 60 years are likelyto benefit from this initiative," the release added.
