Delhi: Pregnant Woman Set On Fire By Husband, In-Laws; DCW Issues Notice To Police


New Delhi: In a gruesome incident reported from Delhi’s Bawana area, a man has been allegedly accused of setting his pregnant wife on fire.

Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal took to Twitter and added that the women’s panel has issued a notice to the Delhi Police in connection with the case.

She took to Twitter and added that “Seven months pregnant woman was burnt by her husband and in-laws by pouring petrol. The girl suffered severe burn injuries and is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.”

She further added that “We have issued notice to Delhi Police. We are also providing all possible help to the victim. Crime is increasing in Delhi!”.
