G20 Summit: Who Will Stay Where?

New Delhi: As the national capital is gearing up to host about two dozen world leaders — US President Joe Biden to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and others — for the G20 summit which is scheduled for September 9 and 10, preparations like hotel bookings, security and safety are all in full swing.

The event will be attended by the world leaders of the members and the guest countries. President Biden, Prime Minister Sunak, and Chinese President Xi Jinping, among others, will be present in New Delhi for the summit.

According to the sources quoted in the media reports, around 23 hotels in the national capital have been booked for the delegates who will be attending the summit.

Reportedly, hotels booked in Delhi are: ITC Maurya, Rosette Hotel, Hotel Pullman, The Imperial, The Leela Ambience Convention, Radisson Blue Plaza, JW Marriott, Sheraton, Taj Mansingh, Taj Palace, Hotel Oberoi, Hotel Lalit, Le Meridian, Hyatt Regency, Shangri-La, Leela Palace, Hotel Ashoka, Eros Hotel, and The Surya.

Hotels booked in the NCR are: WestINN (Gurugram), Crown Plaza (Greater Noida), The Vivanta (Surajkund), ITC Grand (Gurugram), Taj City Centre (Gurugram), Hyatt Regency (Gurugram), and The Oberoi (Gurugram).

WHO IS STAYING WHERE?

The ITC Maurya Hotel has been booked for US President Joe Biden. Reportedly, the commandos of the Secret Service will be present on every floor of the hotel. President Biden will stay on the 14th floor of the hotel in the presidential suite.

UK PM Rishi Sunak will stay in the Shangri-La Hotel, and French President Emmanuel Macron will stay at the Claridges Hotel. Imperial Hotel has been booked for Australian PM Anthony Albanese and Taj Palace Hotel has been booked for Chinese President Xi Jinping.

Le Meridien has been booked for the delegates from Mauritius, the Netherlands, Nigeria and Spain. The delegates of Turkey will stay in the Oberoi Hotel. Meanwhile, the Taj Palace will accommodate the delegates from China and Brazil. The Imperial Hotel has been booked for the delegates from Indonesia and Australia. Italian and Singaporean delegates will stay at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi.

The Oman delegation will stay in Lodhi Hotel, the French delegation in Claridges Hotel and the Bangladesh delegation at Grand Hyatt in Gurugram. The Lalit Hotel in Delhi will accommodate the delegations from Canada and Japan. Also, the Oberoi Hotel in Gurugram will house the South Korean delegation. ITC Sheraton in Saket will house the Egyptian delegation and the Saudi Arabian delegation will stay in Leela Hotel, Gurugram. The UAE delegation will stay in the Taj Mahal Hotel in Delhi.
