Jail Superintendent booked for molesting constable

Thane (Maha), Sep 1 (PTI) A woman constable of ThaneDistrict Central Jail has accused the Jail Superintendent ofmolesting her, following which he has been booked, police saidtoday. As per the complaint, the accused Hiralal Jadhav met thewoman at the Kalwa bridge here on August 26 and allegedlytouched her hand forcibly, Thane Police Public RelationsOfficer Sukhada Narkar said. On August 29, Jadhav also allegedly messaged her andasked her to meet him. He also send her pictures on Whatsapp,the official said. A case under sections 354 (assault or criminal force towoman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354(a) (sexualharassment) of the IPC was registered at Thane Nagar PoliceStation last night, she said, adding probe is underway.
