The chief minister also in a statement last week said; “It has been our view that Article 370 should not be removed. Similarly, Uniform Civil Code should not be imposed on anyone and the issue of Ram temple in Ayodhya be either resolved through dialogue or court order”.

Furthermore, on the issue of the Ram-Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute, the Supreme Court-appointed mediation panel is all set to hold the third round of talks with petitioners to explore and frame a negotiable statement, on Monday, 17th June. According to reports, the talks so far have been positive over the issue. Yet, Mahant Kamal Nayan Das, head of the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas said in a statement, “ We were against any form of mediation in the Ayodhya case. Thereafter, we were also against any extension to the mediation panel…We want the court to decide the Ayodhya dispute on the basis of facts,” opposing a negotiable statement on the issue.
