Maximum temperatures hover close to normal in Punjab, Haryana

Chandigarh, Sep 5 (PTI) The maximum temperatures continuedto hover close to the normal levels today at most places inPunjab and Haryana. Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recordeda maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius, a notch abovenormal, a MeT Department report said. Amritsar in Punjab recorded a high of 35 degrees Celsiuswhile Ludhiana’s maximum settled at 34.6 degrees Celsius, anotch above normal. Patiala recorded a high of 34.5 degrees Celsius, twonotches above normal. In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 34.2 degrees Celsiuswhile Hisar’s maximum settled at 36 degrees Celsius, twonotches above normal. A MeT Department official said the weather remainedgenerally dry across the two states including the UnionTerritory of Chandigarh. PTI SUN RC SKRC
