One person killed, four others injured in road accident

Purnea, Sep 2 (PTI) One person was killed and fourothers injured, one of them seriously, in a road accidentin Purnea district of Bihar today. Banmankhi Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) KundanKumar said that the incident occurred when an auto-rickshawcollided head on with a bus coming from opposite directionnear Bhima village on NH 107 in the district. The bus was on its way to Saharsa from Purnea whileauto-rickshaw was going towards Sarsi from Banmankhi, he said. The deceased has been identified as Shankar Sahni(35), the SDPO said. All the four injured persons, including the oneseriously injured, were admitted to Banmankhi Primary HealthCentre but the doctors referred all of them to Purnea Sadarhospital for better treatment, the SDPO said. The driver of the bus managed to escape from the scene.PTI CORR ARMM
