PM ‘invokes’ power of positivity; seeks 9 minutes on April 5 at 9 PM to fight COVID-19

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a video message to the citizens, invoked the power of positivity and asked them to switch off all lights on April 5 (Sunday) at 9 PM and shine any light object such as diyas, phone lights etc for a period of 9 minutes.

This he said will brighten up the nation as 130 crore citizens engage in this activity during a gloomy period such as this.

The PM also asked the citizens not to congregate anywhere and said that the only cure against the deadly Coronavirus is social distancing.

1. People may be alone in their houses, but this is a collective battle of 130 crore citizens who are fighting together. It is this collective strength that will provide strength to all during this period of national lockdown.

3. The Janta curfew adopted on March 22 served as an inspiration to everyone in the world.

4. The administration and the people have come together during this period of national lockdown and are fighting this battle together.

This is the tenth day of the lockdown. The lockdown will remain in effect till April 14.
