Summary of observations recorded at 0830 hrs: The low pressure area over south Rajasthan andnighbourhood now lies over east Rajasthan and neighbourhood.The associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 kmsa s l. The other low pressure area over Bangladesh andadjoining West Bengal now lies as a well marked low pressurearea over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand. Theassociated cyclonic circulation extends upto 7.6 kms a. s. l.tilting southwards with height. The axis of monsoon trough atmean sea level now passes through Bikaner, centre of the lowpressure area over east Rajasthan and neighbourhood, Satna,Daltonganj, centre of the well marked low pressure area overGangetic West Bengal and adjoining Jharkhand, Midnapore andthence east-southeastwards to northeast Bay of Bengal. The western disturbance as a trough in midtropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 kms a. s. l. nowruns roughly along Long.70° E and north of Lat.30° N. Systemis likely to move east-northeastwards. The southwest Monsoon has been vigorous over GangeticWest Bengal and active over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal andSikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa andMarathwada. It has been subdued over Arunachal Pradesh, Assamand Meghalaya, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana,Saurashtra and Kutch, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, InteriorKarnataka and Kerala.
