Strike affects normal life in Manipur

Imphal, Sep 2 (PTI) Normal life was affected today inManipur due to the one-day nationwide strike called by varioustrade unions. While very few passenger buses and taxis were seen on theroads, shops and entertainment houses were closed, officialreports said. A spokesperson of the coordinating body of the tradeunions told PTI that a number of unions joined the strikewhich was a "total success" in Manipur. PTI CORR SUSRC
