On February 21st, author Shobha De used the picture of an overweight cop and tweeted some humiliated tweet about him and to poke fun at the Mumbai Police.
Mumbai Police was quick to shut her down, check out their reply:
This cop Daulat Ram Jogawat, from Madhya Pradesh, has been floating around the internet as a meme for years. After seeing him suffer Dr Muffazal Lakdawala of Mumbai’s Saifee Hospital offered to help him by performing a gastric bypass surgery.
“I am thankful to my senior officers and media for this. A wrong tweet has changed my life,” Jogawat said, according to reports.
