Tension gripped Bengaluru on Thursday as three hotels received bomb threats via email, prompting an immediate response from the authorities. Among the hotels targeted was the luxurious five-star Oterra hotel.
Upon receiving the threats, the police swiftly mobilized bomb squads and sniffer dogs to conduct thorough searches of the premises. The extensive security measures were a precautionary step to ensure the safety of the guests and staff.
The recent threats come merely seven weeks after a similar incident at a private school in the Bengaluru Urban district. In that incident, an email was sent to the principal of Treamis School in Hulimangala, claiming that explosives had been planted under desks and benches.
A meticulous three-hour search operation was conducted, ultimately revealing the threat to be a hoax.
