With PM Modi at helm of affairs, India in safe hands: NewsMobile Editor-in-Chief Saurabh Shukla on PM’s move of 21-day lockdown to fight Covid-19

Welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move to enforce a complete 21-day long nationwide lockdown to fight the deadly coronavirus, NewsMobile Editor-in-Chief Saurabh Shukla today said with a leader like PM Modi at the helm of affairs, India is in safe hands.

“We have a leader like Modi at the helm so be assured that we are in safe hands. We shall overcome,” Shukla said during a televised discussion on Republic TV.

NewsMobile’s Editor in Chief also said that the pandemic was an unprecedented situation in the recent history of the world and India and such a situation needed certain unprecedented actions. He added that India was safe and the world should know that.

“This is the time for national unity. This is the time for India to demonstrate its indomitable spirit. There is no need to panic. This is an unprecedented situation,” Shukla said adding that the 21-day lockdown had been done to save India. “The more panic people try to create, it’ll complicate the situation,” he added.

Referring to PM Modi’s appeal of not believing rumours and superstitions, Shukla said that fact-checkers like NewsMobile will continue to bust fake news as it has been doing over the years.
