New Delhi:Â The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed that an Indian boy was killed during the clash in Iraq on Wednesday. The boy was missing since 23 August from Kalyan.
Their website gave out the information stating that Aarif Majid, an Indian youth was killed during the clash.
Â
It was reported in media that four youth from Kalyan had joined ISIS jehadists to fight in Iraq and Syria and the city police chief had asked the Crime Branch and Anti-Terror Cells to be on alert. The report had reference to terror attacks at various places in the past, including Maharashtra, during the “festival season”.
Sunni militants of ISIS have captured vast swathes in the two countries and established a Caliphate under Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. The radical group had asked the youth from across the world to join their global jihad.Â
Four men in their 20s — Arif Majeed, Sahim Tankhi, Fahad Sheikh and Aman Tandel — from Kalyan were missing since May and were suspected to be fighting alongside ISIS jehadists in Iraq, though their families have denied it.
