Akshay Kumar didn’t protest in support of ABVP; here’s the truth behind this viral picture

A picture of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is doing rounds on social media in which he can be seen holding an ABVP flag. It has been claimed that he attended a protest at JNU in support of ABVP.

The caption with the picture in Hindi read:

On putting the picture through Reverse Image Search, we came across a tweet by Akshay Kumar dated January 22, 2018, in which he had shared a similar picture from the same event in which he was holding the ABVP flag.

According to the tweet, Kumar was flagging off a women marathon at Delhi University during the promotion of his blockbuster movie PadMan.
