Did Obama endorse Akhilesh Yadav for the Prime Minister of India? Here’s the fact check

A post is being circulated on social media claiming that former US president Barack Obama is endorsing Akhilesh Yadav.

According to the post, Obama in a tweet endorsed former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav for Prime Minister, saying that India needs a PM like Akhilesh to move forward.

FACT CHECK 

When NewsMobile team fact-checked the post, we found out that it is fake.

On putting the image trough Reverse Image Search, we did not find any report to support the viral claim.

Moreover, this picture was clicked in January 2015 during Obama’s India visit.

When we scanned through Obama’s Twitter handle, we did not find any such tweet.

This proves that the claim is Fake.
