Running a Reverse Image Search of the pictures, the NM team identified a tweet on a blue-tick channel of Kailash Vijayvargiya — a Cabinet Minister in the MP government, dated October 9, 2020. The caption confirms that Bengal Police did manhandle a Sikh person and removed his turban in the open, but the incident happened in 2020, not recently.
Searching further, our team found an article in The Indian Express, dated October 10, 2020. As per the article, the incident happened in 2020, confirming that the images are at least four years old.
BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) President Sukhbir Singh Badal also tweeted about the incident, asking the Central government to tackle such scenarios.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Bengal Police removed the turban of a Sikh during the ongoing protest, is misleading.
