The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, that commenced on February 14, 2024, in Thoubal district of Manipur, is scheduled to conclude on March 20, 2024, in Mumbai.
Against the backdrop, a video has gone viral on social media, claiming that it’s a huge crowd at the Yatra in Nagaland. One of the Facebook users has shared a video with a caption: “Craze for Rahul Gandhi in Nagaland 🔥#bharatjodonyayyatra.”

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be FALSE.
Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, the NM team traced an original video, uploaded on the Rahulnairphotograhyzz Instagram page, dated June 21, 2023. The caption accompanying the original video reads: “Jai Jagannath”.
The video in the Instagram post matches exactly with the viral clip, describing that the Jagannath Rath Yatra happened in June 2023 in Odisha. Several media outlets, including Mint, TOI, and Indian Express, had also extensively covered the Rath Yatra.
One can see the difference between the original video and the viral video below.
The presence of white and red buildings in both videos suggest that the two images are quite identical.
Hence, we can conclusively say that the viral clip is not from Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, but Jagannath Rath Yatra 2023 in Odisha.
