Date:

A post which is being widely shared on social media claims that Japanese citizens have been boycotting products from the US since 1945 after the US dropped nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The post came in the wake of the violent India-China skirmish that took on the night of June 15-16 at Galwan valley in Ladakh, where 20 Indian soldiers lost their lives.

“In 1945, USA attacked Japan by throwing nuclear bomb. Today after 71 years USA can not sell a needle in Japan. This is not due to trade policy. That is because the Japanese citizens do not buy anything which is made in USA. This is called the real patriotism and unity.
We Indians can do it against China. We all need to Unite,” the text read.
