FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.

With a keyword search for “Rahul Gandhi rally Indian Constitution”, the NM team spotted various news reports featuring Gandhi with the same red book. The reports by Business Standard and Hindustan Times with photo credit by PTI, clearly show the book’s cover, which reads “The Constitution of India”.

A keyword search for “constitution of India red cover” revealed numerous online marketplaces, including Amazon, selling the coat pocket edition of the Indian Constitution by Gopal Sankaranarayanan, which has a red cover.

Additionally, it was found that the Chinese constitution available on Amazon was completely red, unlike the book held by Gandhi, which has a black border.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that Rahul Gandhi was carrying the booklet of Indian Constitution, NOT Chinese.
