A screenshot of a tweet, purportedly posted by the World health organisation (WHO), is being circulated on social media.
The tweet read, “The world leaders are about to break for a lunch of fresh Atlantic crab and Spanish pork, followed by duck and the worlds best cod from a sustainable farm in Norway. When we resume we will be discussing freedom of speech and how it could be reformed. #Davos2022.”
Facebook users are saying the screenshot with captions such as, “When you can’t afford meat or groceries just remember what our Overloads are eating and why we do what we do.”

The same screenshot was shared extensively on Facebook.
FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be false.
The first thing we noticed was that the Twitter handle did not have any verified tick.
Moreover, the Twitter handle mentioned in the screenshot is ‘@WorldHlthOrg’ whereas the original verified Twitter handle of WHO is ‘@WHO‘.
We then checked the Twitter handle mentioned in the screengrab and found that the tweet was made on May 24, 2022. The account was created in May 2022 and the bio read – “Dedicated to a one world government where you eat bugs and ride bikes and we fly on jets and eat T-bones (parody) All hail Shwabb.”
The account has now changed its handle name from @WorldHlthOrg to @worldHellOrg and the handle name to World Hell Organization (WHO). We can conclude that they are the same account as some of the replies on the tweet still has the old handle name.
Thus it is clear that the tweet was made by a parody account and not the original one. Hence, the posts in circulation are misleading.
