An image of a road with date trees has gone viral on social media with a claim that the road leads to Medina, an Islamic pilgrimage site situated in Saudi Arabia.
The image is shared with a caption that reads, “এটাই আমার প্রিয় নবীর দেশ মদিনা শরীফের একটি রাস্তা.” (English translation, “This is my beloved prophet’s country. A road to Madina Sharif.”)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On doing a Yandex Reverse Image Search we found the same image was uploaded by an Instagram handle, Aussie Vibes with the caption, “Seppeltsfield Road, Barossa, South Australia. #AusVibe #SouthAustralia These iconic date palms along Seppeltsfield Road date back to the 1930s, planted by local workers during the Great Depression. Little did they know this amazing avenue would eventually become a symbol to one of the world’s most famous wine regions. #SeppeltsfieldWinery”
The photo was also uploaded on Sky Pixel website, mentioning that the image is of Vineyard Drives in Barossa Valley Australia.
Taking a hint from this, we searched for Barossa Valley and found the same image was uploaded on the website, Barossa Valley Luxury tour.
Thus, it s clear that an image from Australia is widely being shared as image from Medina.
