FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post and found the claims to be false.

Running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes led us to a new report from Patrika, published on January 19, 2024. The video in the report matches the viral clip and the headline informs that the fight erupted between the same family members.

According to the report, a fight between two sides of the same family over ancestral land, house, and enmity, turned into a bloody conflict on late Thursday evening in Khakasya ki Dhani near Thanagaji town in Alwar district of Rajasthan.

Searching further we came across a report in Dainik Bhaskar and found out that the younger brother of 70-year-old Ram Swaroop wanted to take over the old house along with his wife and son. We could not find any communal angle in the entire report.

Finally, we came across a comment tweet by the official handle of Alwar police clarifying that the fight erupted between the members of the same family and that the family is Hindu. It further states that the police had arrested 7 members from both sides under 151 CRPC.

Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming Muslims entered a Hindu household in Alwar and beat everyone with sticks and lathis, is false.
