FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.
Conducting the Reverse Image Search of the viral video key frames, the NM team discovered that it was posted on the Facebook page of the Amity School of Earth and Environmental Sciences on July 9, 2019. According to the post, the video depicts the Mount Bromo volcano in Indonesia.
Another report by ‘TV9 Bharatvarsh’ states that Mount Bromo is located in East Java, Indonesia. Mount Bromo is an active volcano that continuously emits fire and smoke, attracting a large number of tourists to witness this spectacular sight.
Additionally, we discovered drone footage of Mount Bromo on the verified travel page “Culture Trip” on Facebook, which includes the viral clip. This video is a compilation of various bloggers’ clips, with the viral video segment credited to the YouTube channel, Hendris Kurlu.
Thus, it is evident from the above information that an old video showing Mount Bromo volcano eruption in Indonesia is falsely shared as ground sinking in Dubai.
