A video showing a clash between ‘Iran’s drones and Israel’s iron dome’ is doing the rounds on social media. Many users claim them to be true and from the ongoing conflict between the countries.

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be false.
Running a Google Keyword Search about the incident, the NM team identified a YouTube video on the official channel of The Telegraph, dated October 12, 2023, with a title: Israel’s Iron Dome intercepts Hamas rockets in Ashkelon. As per its description, while Israel did intercept missiles through the Iron Dome, those rockets were fired by Hamas back in October 2023.
Searching further, we came across the same video in The Daily Mail, dated October 11, 2023, corroborating the same claims made in the YouTube video. There was no mention of Iran or about its drones anywhere in the report.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral post, claiming to show a clash between Iran’s drones and Israel’s Iron Dome, is false.
