NewsMobile fact-checked the video, and found that it is doctored.
Through the Reverse Image Search, we found the same video on the YouTube channel by the name of Vikram Mishra. It was published on July 8, 2022, with a title: “#बीच शादी में पहुंचा#प्रेमी और भर दी दुल्हन की मांग#देखता रह गया दूल्हा_2#shorts”
The same video was also on a Facebook page, Divya Vikram. The caption reads: “जयमाला से पहले आशिक ने फिल्मी स्टाइल में भरी दुल्हन की मांग लेकिन बेचारे के साथ बहुत बुरा हुआ”
(Translation: Before Jayamala, Lover put vermilion on the bride’s head in film style, but what happened to the poor man was very bad.)
Previously, NewsMobile debunked a similar video from the same page, where the video of a groom demanding dowry on the wedding day was shared online.
Vikram Mishra has also shared the video on Facebook. The profile mentioned him as ‘Artist, Producer and Actor’. The page had many similar staged videos uploaded on it.
